The team at APEX Interstate Removalists have many decades of combined experience in the furniture removal and transport industry, and whilst every move is unique, there is very little we haven't seen or moved! So we have put together some FAQ's to help answer some of the queries that you may have about moving.

Your price will be based on the list and the information you provide. Unless those things change, the price for your small move won't change.
Our quotes can only be as accurate as the information that we base them on. So it's important that you take the time to make sure that you've supplied all the necessary information to us.
We expect that you won't have a fully accurate inventory until you've nearly finished packing. So it's important to contact us with a final list and make any adjustments to your requirements close to the removal date. We allow any changes to be made to your booking right up until the day before your move is scheduled to take place. After which time, we will not be able to reduce the quoted price if you have fewer items because we no longer have time to sell this space that we have reserved for you. Conversely, if you have significantly more items we may need charge for those additional items as they are will take up more space than you would have otherwise paid for.
When booking, you can rest assured knowing that our pricing works on a sliding scale. Generally, the more volume you transport the less it costs per cubic metre. So you shouldn't expect disproportionate jumps in price if you add some items to your inventory.
There's no charge for rescheduling your booking date provided that you give us at least 1 business days notice. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions that will accompany your quote or booking for further details.
From a few hundred dollars to several thousand, the cost of moving interstate depends greatly on how much you need to move, ease of access at pickup and delivery, and a number of other important factors. We offer highly discounted backloading rates across all sectors and our prices are very competitive. Getting an obligation free quote on your move only takes a few minutes online, or can be provided instantly over the phone on .
As we provide interstate removal services between over 7000 locations across Australia, we can't display all of our prices here. As a guide, we have included indicative prices for some of our most popular interstate removal routes on our pricing page.
Our removalists load 7 days a week, including most public holidays. There is no surcharge for weekends.
We don't need much notice at all and welcome last minute bookings. We can usually accept booking right up until the day before a move is to take place. If you need something moved in a hurry, give us a call on or send us an email and we'll get you picked up ASAP.
Interstate car transport services require a little more notice than furniture removals. Usually 1 business day if you will be dropping your vehicle at a depot, or 2 business days if we will be collecting your vehicle from an address nominated by you. Cut off times apply. We are currently accepting car transport bookings for this coming Wednesday for depot drop-offs, or Thursday for bookings from an address nominated by you.
Only if you purchase a dismantling or assembly service. Please discuss your requirements with our sales team who will be able to provide quotes will happily answer any questions you have regarding these services.
We can provide full or partial packing services in most locations. Alternatively, we can arrange for delivery on packing supplies direct to your door so that you can pack your own belongings.
You are free to source cartons and packing supplies from any provider (self-storage facilities are a popular choice), but you should always use proper/appropriate packing materials to provide the optimal protection for your goods.
If you are packing your own boxes, as a rule of thumb, if something can be boxed, it probably should be. Our removalists will wrap larger items of furniture and appliances with specialist furniture removal pads as your items are loaded onto the removal truck.
Absolutely, we can. We offer both short and long-term storage. Prices for storage will be determined by the volume of furniture to be stored and will be included when you get a quote for your furniture removal. Learn more about our storage solutions here.
Note: For security reasons, you will not be able to access your goods whilst they are in our depots or storage facilities. Consequently, when we quote on storage we will also quote on 'redelivery' from a store. This is necessary because we will need to double-handle your goods; delivering them to store, then reloading them for delivery to your destination address.
We provide several payment options including EFT, direct deposit, bank cheque, cash, Visa or MasterCard.
Our preferred method is EFT, and you will receive a $10 discount for paying via this method.
Surcharges apply for Amex cards.
With the exception of jobs that are paid at an hourly rate, we require all jobs to be paid prior to pickup. Please allow enough time for electronic payments to clear prior to your scheduled move date. We cannot accept payment on delivery.

We don't roll the cost of Transit Protection into your 'base' quoted price because we provide several levels of protection to suit everyone's differing needs. When we provide you with a quote we will also provide all of the details and prices for our Transit Protection options, along with all relevant terms and conditions so that you can make an informed decision.
